TRUMP - CORRUPTION OR AUTHORITARIANISM

     Donald Trump understood the power of narrative, the way a compelling story could reshape reality. He didn't just promise a better future; he sold a dream, a potent, intoxicating elixir of national pride and personal validation. He painted himself as the ultimate underdog, battling against a corrupt and entrenched establishment that sought to keep the common man down. This narrative, however, was a carefully constructed redirect. Trump himself was a product of privilege, a man who had inherited wealth and influence, which he then leveraged with ruthless efficiency. Yet, his ability to project an image of a self-made man, a warrior for the forgotten masses, resonated deeply with a populace that felt increasingly alienated from the corridors of power.

     Trump's pronouncements, dripping with a faux humility that belied his inherent arrogance, were carefully crafted to inspire loyalty rather than critical thought. He spoke of the nation's greatness as if it were a tangible inheritance, something that had been stolen from its rightful owners and that he, and only he, could reclaim. This narrative of lost glory and imminent restoration, though false, was incredibly potent, a powerful balm for the anxieties of a nation grappling with rapid change and a shifting global landscape. His rallies were not just political events; they were cathartic experiences, providing his followers with a sense of belonging and a shared identity in a world that often felt fractured and impersonal.

     The media, often mesmerized by the sheer spectacle of Trump's rise, struggled to keep pace with the underlying currents of his campaign. They reported on the rallies, the polls, the gaffes, and the soundbites, but rarely delved into the strategic machinations that were truly driving his ascent. The focus remained on the superficial, the charismatic personality, the populist appeal, while the dangerous groundwork for authoritarianism was being laid in the shadows. Trump's campaign was a masterclass in modern propaganda, a testament to the power of carefully curated messaging in an era of information overload. He understood that in the age of social media and 24/7 news cycles, controlling the narrative was paramount. Exploiting our deepest fears and desires, the result was a movement built not on reasoned discourse, but on a potent cocktail of emotion, grievance, and unshakable faith in a single leader. He was not just running for office; he was conjuring a movement, a cult of personality that transcended traditional Political boundaries.

I ask you; when will we as an intelligent society, stop being led by our propensity to consciously believe the facade and disregard the obvious facts of a matter just to push a subconscious agenda? I implore my fellow Americans of ALL race, color, creeds and religions to sit back and use the God given intelligence we were all created with and stop being brain lazy and look at things through an untainted eye and truly come together as a collective body to finally put aside biases for the greater good of ALL people.
